Episode 3 Love Letter:
Toph introduces a tough love element that’s been missing in Legend of Korra. Korra has been such a stubborn character throughout the series and it’s nice for someone to finally beat some sense into her.
Thank god.

Quick thoughts on S4E2 (spoilers, duh):
:’) Aang’s the best (see pic)
It must be weird for Katara to see Korra because she’s a constant reminder of how long Aang has been gone.
Korra meeting Toph in the swamp screams Star Wars. I’m all for a Luke-Yoda relationship between Korra and Toph.
The symbolism is so transparent here. They’re practically spoon feeding us — “look Korra is literally broken, literally.”
Korra moving her big toe is so Kill Bill. I love at the end of the episode Toph proceeds to call Korra Twinkle Toes.
It’s the little nuggets that reference The Last Airbender that really make this show. It saddens me that Nick hates the show because it really is one of the best cartoon universes. So good, so good.
